Low-cost therapy services.

At Violet Psychology, we are committed to providing accessible mental health support while maintaining the highest ethical standards. Our low-cost therapy option is facilitated by trainee student therapists.

About Our Service

Our low-cost therapy service is designed to make quality mental health care more accessible to individuals in need. This service is conducted by trainee therapists who are undergoing rigorous training and supervised by seasoned professionals in the field. As part of their clinical education, our trainees provide therapy sessions at a reduced fee of 25 euros per session.

Why Choose Our Low-Cost Therapy?

  • Affordability: We understand that the cost of therapy can be a barrier for many individuals. Our low-cost option allows you to access professional mental health support at a significantly reduced rate.

  • Inclusivity and Specialized Training: We are committed to providing support to diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals. Our therapists are dedicated to ongoing training in these areas to better serve your unique needs. We do not refer clients to therapists who are not specifically trained in these areas, ensuring you receive culturally competent care that respects and affirms your identity.

  • Supporting Training Programs: By participating in our low-cost therapy service, you contribute to the training and development of future mental health professionals. Your fee helps support our training programs and ensures that we can continue to offer affordable services to the community.

  • Quality and Supervision: While our therapy sessions are conducted by trainees, Silvia Plaza, Clinical Director of the placement program, oversees the program, provides support, guidance, and training to trainees, and is responsible for the quality and safety of care. This structure ensures that trainees are supported in their work and that clients receive ethical and professional therapy.

  • Supporting Trainees Fairly: We believe in ethical training. As part of our program, trainees receive a contribution to cover the cost of their supervision, ensuring their work is valued and that they are supported while gaining practical experience.

How the process works

To access our low-cost therapy service, complete our online contact form. You will then be invited to complete an intake process by the admin team, which is reviewed by our Clinical Director, Silvia, to assess suitability for the service. If the service is deemed appropriate, and subject to availability, the selected therapist will contact the client directly to arrange sessions.

Ethical Standards

At Violet Psychology, we uphold the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our practice. This includes confidentiality, respect for client autonomy, informed consent, and adherence to professional guidelines.
