Christina Mc Tiernan (She/Her)
I work with adults in individual therapy and relationship counselling. I support people who feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward, often noticing ways they relate to themselves and others that no longer feel aligned.
I aim to create a space where you can slow down, be honest about what’s going on, and start to make sense of it.
My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed. I draw on relational, cognitive, and body-based approaches in my work. I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and am currently completing advanced training in somatic trauma therapy.
I have a particular interest in intimacy and sexuality. I often work with people navigating desire, disconnection, and sexual patterns that no longer feel like a good fit, including behaviours that can feel out of control or at odds with their values. My approach is sex-positive, kink-friendly, and non-pathologising.
I work in a neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQIA+ inclusive way, welcoming all genders, sexualities, and relationship structures, including non-monogamy.
As a neurodivergent therapist, a woman of colour, and an immigrant from the United States, I bring an intersectional awareness to my work, including how culture, identity, and belonging shape our experience.
